As the Epoch of Origins came to a close, the first great war between Enlil's Guardians and Anzu's Brokers began, setting the stage for the age-long struggle against the looming threat of the Eldritch Void. In response, two factions emerged: Enlil's Guardians, sworn protectors of Aeternum who sought to banish Zal'kath and the Void, and Anzu's Brokers, who believed in coexisting with the Void for their own mysterious ends. The world has been plunged into chaos as reality itself is distorted by the Eldritch Void. The fate of Aeternum Chronicles hangs in the balance as these factions fight for control over the future. For centuries, the N'Kai Technicians have been the guardians of Aeternum Chronicles, their arcane knowledge guiding the balance between the mortal realm and the Eldritch Void. Yet, a prophecy foretold the Awakening would occur during the reign of the 108th High Exarch, Tzimisc, who ruled with an iron fist. The Prophecy of Eridu's Eye, inscribed on the Tablet of Uruk, became a reality when Tzimisc initiated the Cataclysm Ritual, seeking to harness the power of the Eldritch Void to cement his reign. The ritual unleashed chaos upon Aeternum Chronicles, distorting reality and awakening the ancient entity. In the wake of the Cataclysm, two factions emerged: Enlil's Guardians, led by the righteous High Exarch Tia, who vowed to stop Tzimisc and the Eldritch Void, and Anzu's Brokers, a shadowy organization that sought to coexist with the cosmic entity to gain unimaginable power. As the Awakened Eldritch Void began consuming territories across Aeternum Chronicles, the N'Kai Technicians formed alliances with both factions.
